The cover is made of nylon using precision casting.
The carburetor covers meet the following characteristics:
- Original material and technology: The covers are made of high-quality nylon type 46, which is a current improved alternative to the original nylon. The colors exactly copy the original bearing covers.
- Resistance to gasoline: Nylon covers, unlike commonly used materials in 3D printing, such as ABS or ASA, are resistant to gasoline and designed for long-term contact with fuel without losing their properties.
- Temperature resistance: Nylon covers withstand temperatures up to 185 °C and have a melting point of 295 °C. For comparison, products made of ABS using the FDM 3D printing method have a temperature resistance of around 80–100 °C, and other materials show much lower resistance. Products made using the SLA 3D printing method usually do not exceed a temperature resistance of 65 °C.
- Precise shape: A 3D scanner was used to create the 3D model of the mold, focusing on details. The shape of the covers matches the originals and both halves are interchangeable with the original parts. The covers fit the carburetor and moped exactly, allowing for easy installation without modifications.
- UV resistance: Special UV stabilizers have been added to the material to protect the nylon from the harmful effects of sunlight. These stabilizers prevent aging and degradation of the material and eliminate the risk of color changes.
- Fasteners included in the package: Complete fasteners supplied with the covers allow for immediate and easy assembly. The original thread in the nylon part has been replaced with an extended steel nut, which ensures higher thread resistance.
With these carburetor covers you get a truly high-quality product that is almost indistinguishable from the original part. This is a product manufactured in the Czech Republic.
